Admission in medical colleges in India is done in the course of a variety of entrance exams. These entrance exams are conducted boards or organizations at the all India level or state level. The purpose of carrying out of entrance test is the selection of candidates for admission to medical courses at diploma, degree, Post-diploma, postgraduate degree and research levels.
In General, the entrance examination for admission to diploma and degree courses are conducted separately at the all India level and state level. However, the entrance examination for admission to post-graduate and research programs at the all-India level or state basis.
